Colorado photographer, educator, and filmmaker uses his large-format camera and the exquisite Zone System technique to reveal man-made and natural beauty in Colorado and elsewhere. Photographer Ansel Adams, whose technique John used, once commented that one of John’s photographs was of better quality than his. Through his films, Damon Runyon’s Pueblo, Zebulon Pike and the Blue Mountain, and Blue Lights, John became known, though his first love has always been photography. This large format 10” x 10” book is richly illustrated over 232 pages with 229 images, with technical and aesthetic information on each.
